Bach Tots: Performing Arts for Babies, Toddlers and Young Children specializes in Dance-Theatre for very young audiences. As a specialist in arts for early years, we combine vibrant, character based dance-theatre with interactive workshops specifically designed for babies, toddlers and young children. Bach Tots has performed nationally and internationally at the Calgary International Children's Festival,  Saskatoon Children's Festival, and Spring of Culture Festival in Bahrain.

Auditions: Be part of the Artistic Roster

​

We are looking for 1-2 Ballet based dancers to join our 2025-2026 roster. This will include engagements in The
Nutcracker in a Nutshell (Dec. 2025), and Living on the Wedge (March/April 2026).

Contract engagements are paid. Remuneration varies depending on experience level, and engagement type
(i.e.: rehearsal, performance, teaching)

Experience
We are looking for artists with the following experience:

• Intermediate or advanced ballet training (10+ years in classical ballet)

• Experience in character ballet performance, acting or musical theatre is an asset

• Dance education experience (teaching dance) especially for young children is an asset

 

Other Requirements

• Some flexibility to perform weekday mornings in addition to weekends

• Driver’s license/ability to travel to the suburbs

Audition Process Part 2: Video submission and interview

We will only contact you if you are selected to move onto part 2 of the auditions process. Thank you to all who apply!

 

Video submission:
Bach Tots will require you to record two short videos performing 2 ballet combinations. These can be recorded on a
smartphone, in your kitchen etc. The goal is to see you dance, not to have a professional video recording.
